A Visionary Catalog for Resilient and Sustainable Homes

In the aftermath of the 2025 fires, 50 architects were invited to contribute home design scenarios for rebuilding the communities that were affected by the Los Angeles area fires. LIRIO was invited to team with Yo Hakomori / studioHAU and contributed a compact, open plan house with generously-scaled gardens. The ground floor rooms have direct physical connections to these gardens - a front yard patio, a pool terrace, workshop garden, dining courtyard, and linear rock garden - that accommodate versatile indoor-outdoor living for the warm climate in Southern California.
